The test room of Calzaturificio PAOUL incorporates an historical merit of fundamental relevance in the process of admission of the Federazione Italiana Danza Sportiva (F.I.D.S. – Italian Federation for Dance as Sport) to the Comitato Olimpico Nazionale Italiano (C.O.N.I. – Italian National Olympic Committee).
The date of the inauguration, 18th January 1997, lays down the first meeting between the President of F.I.D.S. Dr. Franco Querzè and the Vice-President Deputy of A.N.A.A.I.* (Italian National Association of Italian Athletes) Dr. Enzo Neri. The event involved other known exponents: the National Counsellors of A.N.A.A.I. Fiorenzo Zanella and Gianfranco Da Rin, the President of Paduan Athletes Ing. Matteo Silini and the President of Venetian Athletes Giancarlo Paulon, and many other numerous Italian athletes.
Nowadays the test room, in its 350 m2, sited in a portion of the company building, welcomes professional dancers teaching Italian and international dances, and represents the meeting point for students and teachers coming from different nationalities. The place, thanks to the wide dimension, can also admit meetings with high number of participants. Since 1997 the main goal of its establishment is the need to test prototypes studied by the stylists of Calzaturificio PAOUL with the purpose of always improving the technical characteristics of the product.
