On 21st July 2007 the President of Politecnico Calzaturiero s.c.a.r.l. Marcellino Doni and the Vice-President A.N.C.I. (National Association of Italian Shoe Factories) Franco Ballin inaugurated the museum in occasion of the 40° Anniversary of the firm. This event represents a fundamental pillar in the Venetian culture and for the art of the Shoes District of Riviera del Brenta in the second half of the XX century.
Thought with love for this profession that only a real artisan can transmit, it is a place born to revoke an époque made of traditions, handcraftsmanship, hard work and reliable social relationships.
A marriage of elements that Paolo Pizzocaro, founder of Calzaturifico PAOUL, wished to exhibit in his first workshop to remember the ancient artisan profession of Venetian shoe makers of the second half of 1900.
Inside many incredible machines without engine that enabled workers to develop the different phases of the production or "desks for assembling and cleaning" around which workers seated next to each other and discussed, while working, the histories of the village in a warm familiar atmosphere.
It's a memory of the post-war period when, without too much thinking, people had to work hard and literally rebuild Italy.
